Why Freeze-Dried?
The fruit is first frozen. Its water is then gently removed under low pressure without using high heat.
This process creates a light and crunchy texture. It can also retain more natural fruit flavour and certain heat-sensitive nutrients than conventional hot-air drying.
The texture varies naturally between fruits. Some pieces are crisp like fruit chips, while others are light and delicate like meringue.
